Naoko Ishii reappointed CEO and Chairperson, Global Environment Facility

 

Washington DC, October 22, 2015 - Ms. Naoko Ishii was appointed today for a second four-year term as the CEO and Chairperson of the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The decision to reappoint Ms. Ishii, a Japanese national, was taken by the GEF's 32-member Council, representing all of the GEFs 183 member countries.

Washington DC, October 21, 2015 – The Global Environment Facility (GEF) Council approved today a first-of-its-kind multi-million dollar project to help protect over 80 percent of the Amazon and boost efforts to combat climate change.
