Off-grid Electrification Pilot Demonstration, A Component of the Laos Southern Provinces Rural Electrification
Project Summary
This project is designed to encourage integration of renewable energy into the government’s national electrification program, and to respond to Operational Program No.6, promoting adoption of renewable energy by removing barriers and reducing implementation costs. The pilot renewable energy schemes include six micro-hydro installations and 20 solar battery charging stations.
