Community-based Coastal and Marine Biodiversity Management Project
Project Summary
The main objective of the project is to contribute to a sustainable management of the coastal zone and biological diversity of national and global interest) with the view to a sustainable development of the country. Project activities consist of four inter-related component aimed at creating the technical, institutional, organizational, socio-economic, and governance conditions to ensure conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity and its resources. These component are: (a) institution and capacity-building in integrated coastal zone management, (b) community-based biodiversity conservation, (c) monitoring and evaluation of coastal wetlands and marine environment, and project management and coordination.
