Strengthening Socotra's Policy and Regulatory Framework for Mainstreaming Biodiversity
Project Summary
The project goal is the conservation and sustainable use of the globally significant biodiversity of the Socotra Archipelago. The project objective is that biodiversity management considerations are mainstreamed effectively into the process of "decentralizing governance for development" on Socotra. The success of the mainstreaming efforts will be assessed by if and how the future spatial plan incorporates biodiversity information as well as through the number of public and private sector developments in breach of the spatial plan.
