National Capacity Self Assessment for Global Environmental Management (NCSA)
Project Summary
The primary objective of the NCSA is to identify country level priorities and needs for capacity building to address global environmental issues, in particular, enhance the capacity of Turkey to meet its existing commitments under the UNCBD, UNCCD, and the UNFCCC. The NCSA process will also have the following specific objectives:-To identify, confirm or review priority global environmental issues for action within the thematic areas of biodiversity, climate change and desertification/land degradation;-To explore related capacity building needs within and across the three thematic areas;-To explore targeted and co-ordinated action and requests for future external funding assistance and;-To link country action to the broader national environmental management and sustainable development framework.
